James Elton Ray: April 26, 1936 – June 7, 2021

James Elton Ray, age 85, of Oak Harbor, Wash., passed away on Monday, June 7, 2021, at Skagit Valley Hospital after a brief illness.

Ray was born in Barker, N.Y., on April 26, 1936, to Kenneth and Elizabeth (Harwood) Ray. He recently moved from Albuquerque, N.M., to live with his daughter Maylee Ray. He was preceded in death by his wife, a daughter, a son, a sister and a brother-in-law. He was retired from the U.S. Navy, having served as a Seabee.

In keeping with his wishes, no services will be held. Arrangements are with the assistance of Whidbey Memorial Funeral Home.
