Letter: Education in South is bananas

I write to decry what I’ve heard. Texas and Florida are considering banning bananas from the public schools. A student might peel one from the bottom, think it’s a phallus, thus producing fallacious thinking. And I’ve heard that avocados are on the docket in the deep south and the upper midwest.
