Although the Falcons lost 5-3, the team played competitively throughout the non-conference game. Coach Terry Swanson said this year’s team consists of many younger players — including one eighth grader — who are learning and gaining more and more experience throughout the season. The team’s record is currently 3-3-2, securing the Falcons third place in the Chinook Division of the Emerald Sound Conference. Next week, South Whidbey plays in a home game against Seattle Academy at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11.
