Letter: Thanks for combatting invasive ivy

Just wanted to say a big “thank you” to the folks that take such good care of the Sunnyside Cemetery here in Coupeville for removing that horrible nonnative invasive species, the English ivy.

They took off the ugly, invasive ivy from the old fir trees on the old part of the cemetery, also from the one growing on the ground. A job well done!

Ivy will eventually smother and kill any plant or tree that it grows on.

Please if you have any ivy on your property, get rid of it. Also this horrible plant harbors rats, so why let it grow?
