LETTER TO THE EDITOR | Play struck a brilliant balance

To the editor:

Having just spent a month in Langley, I had the opportunity to catch the musical play, “Last Exit,” at Whidbey Children’s Theater, after reading the insightful article by Patricia Duff.

I was wowed by the story, and by the teens that told the tale.

“Last Exit” is an extraordinary piece of art. The play touches on many aspects of the human condition. No one is exempt from life’s trials, and it’s the coming together that heals and sustains us. This play is rich with messages that are subtle and poignant. It touches those pockets in our soul that are tender and longing to be expressed. The writers created a brilliant balance between drama and humor. For ages 13 years and beyond, all will awaken depth and new insights of self. If you are interested in stirring the embers of your essence, buy a ticket and embrace the experience.
