South Whidbey’s baseball team, looking to bounce back from the loss to Granite Falls on March 25, recorded an 11-1 win against Port Townsend on March 28 at South Whidbey High School. The game ended after five innings due to the 10-run mercy rule. Falcon seniors Ricky Muzzy and Josiah Colby led the team in hitting, going 2-for-3 and 2-for-2, respectively. They also scored one run each.
The Falcons improved to 3-2 overall and 2-2 in the Cascade Conference. The returning Class 1A state runner-ups play at Archbishop Murphy today. They will play the Wildcats again on Friday, April 1.
