LETTER TO THE EDITOR | Restricting media is better idea

To the editor:

I understand there is a bill, HB 3359, called the “Ammunition Accountability Act” wending its way through the Washington state Legislature.

I am strongly opposed to this bill and see no compelling state reason for tracking who buys ammunition.

Also, I am somewhat perplexed as to why an “Ammunition Accountability Act” rather than a “Printing Ink and Media Reporting Accountability Act” has been proposed. In view of the drive-bys’ dismally partisan journalistic “reporting” during this last election — and the complete lack of revolutionary rioting in the streets in response to that “reporting” — it’s obvious that the latter is critically needed and the former is not.
