To the editor:

Thank you to the voters of South Whidbey for their supportive votes and for passing our two recent levies.

We realize these are very difficult financial times in our communities. Your continued willingness to support school levies in challenging times is inspiring and motivational to all of us who work in your public schools. We will do our best to return your affirming votes with our renewed dedication to this important work.

During the election, we heard some confusion and concerns about our restructuring and possibly capital needs. We intend to regroup, reflect and redesign a bond issue and restructuring plan that will provide for our needs and be respectful of the impact on your taxes. We will return to you with a revised plan in the near future. Thank you again for your generosity and support.
