LETTERS TO THE EDITOR | No need to print it twice

I just read Judith Lamontagne’s narrow minded letter about not legalizing pot in the May 5 Record. Again. I thought it sounded awfully familiar, and sure as heck, there it was in the April 18 Record, verbatim (and ad nauseam, I might add).

To the editor:

I just read Judith Lamontagne’s narrow minded letter about not legalizing pot in the May 5 Record. Again. I thought it sounded awfully familiar, and sure as heck, there it was in the April 18 Record, verbatim (and ad nauseam, I might add). Don’t you guys keep track of what you publish? Or do some folks get a second airing because their message is so special and well informed?

Maybe you should consider printing a letter from someone that is for legalization because it reduces their agonizing pain. Maybe you should print it three times for the sake of community balance. The Elway Research polls for the last two years show that more people are in favor of legalization in Washington state than are opposed to it. You can bet the Mexican drug cartels are strongly opposed to legalization.

Also, concerning your front page article about Norm Bodine and his Chevy Volt: What, Fox News misreporting about something? How shocking. I thought that bastion of objectivity could at least get it right about a car of the future. Oh wait, Fox News is the darling of the oil industry, and the drill-baby-drillers, who believe we should burn up the planet’s petroleum resources like there’s no tomorrow. My mistake.
