To the editor:
I applaud the youthful enthusiasm of students wanting to save the jobs of effective teachers.
Alas, that’s not how it’s done. If indeed there are ineffective teachers at any level, it is the job of effective administrators to provide an opportunity to improve or be removed if they do not improve.
“Save our staff” is better served by parents and students not letting poor teaching practices continue, but by sharing their concerns with administrators and wearing T-shirts that announce, “Do Your Job.”
