Elizabeth “Liz” McCloskey

Elizabeth “Liz” McCloskey, 89, passed away at her home on April 23, 2006.

She was born Jan. 14, 1917 in Wyoming. She is survived by her husband of 46 years Leland “Mac” McCloskey of Langley; her two sons Gerold Alvin Blank of Clinton, and John Earl Blank of Fort Collins, Colo.; her three grand-daughters Julie, Dovey, and Laura, and one great-granddaughter AiLi. She survived her first husband of 25 years, the father of her sons Gerold and John.

During their marriage Liz and Mac traveled to other countries and had great stories of their experiences living in other cultures. They moved to Whidbey Island in the late ‘70s, and have touched the lives of many.

If you passed through 1504 between 2 to 3 p.m., you would often see her and Mac enjoying their afternoon lattes while socializing with friends.

In her honor we will be holding a celebration of life party on from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 29 at the 1504 Coffee Shop in Freeland (next to Texaco “Short Stop”). We look forward to seeing you there.
