Raymond D. Norman, born Sept. 11, 1931, in Bellingham, passed away at Harborview Medical Center surrounded by his family, on Nov. 15, 2006 of complications from Myelofibrosis, a bone marrow disease.
Ray graduated from Bellingham High School and joined the Navy’s Seabees, where he served from 1950 to 1954.
After his military service, Ray attended Western Washington University and the University of Washington.
He spent over 30 years as an executive at The Bon Marche in downtown Seattle. Following his retail career, he sold real estate with Windermere.
Ray is survived by his wife of 50 years Patty Norman; his daughters Tracy Noot, Lynn Kamacho (Greg) and Marci Borselli (Paul); grandsons Cole and Kort Kamacho; and longtime family friend Cathy McLeod.
He loved his family and friends and enjoyed his home on the beach.
A celebration of Ray’s life was held at his home Sunday, Nov. 19.
