Mark Bridgeman

Published April 18, 2013

H. Mark Bridgeman, 54, of Langley, Wash., on Whidbey Island enjoyed his quiet time and working on his 5 acre backyard. Whidbey has been his home for the past 22 years. He loved his family and friends and always the responsible one made sure everyone was well taken care of. He loved the outdoors and spent years crabbing, clamming and camping.

He made every property he owned a beautiful home where his family could be comfortable and enjoy life. Mark was not afraid to be himself. He worked at Boeing in Quality Assurance Inspection for almost 32 years. A U.S. Army veteran, he was proud to serve his country after graduating from high school in Bellevue. Mark was strong, compassionate and caring. He was a hero in his children’s eyes and blessed to have a marriage where love was steadfast and friendship the foundation.

Mark passed away on April 18, 2013 after a very courageous fight against cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family and is at peace. He is survived by his wife, Patty Bridgeman, son, Dakota Bridgeman, daughter, Ariel Lockwood, and three beautiful grand girls, Pippin, Adina and Lucy Lockwood. He is also survived by his parents, Fay and Herbert Ron Bridgeman and his two Labradors, Gunnar and Rosie, aka Guns and Roses.

Memorial Service is Saturday, April 27, at 1 p.m. at the Freeland Hall, 1515 ShoreView Drive, Freeland, WA 98249. Friends and colleagues welcome.
