A man riding a KHS racing bike was hit by a blue Subaru Forester at 8:30 a.m. Monday at the corner of Freeland Avenue and Highway 525.

The man was wearing a helmet and was not seriously injured; he was treated and released by an EMT crew from Fire District 3.

According to witnesses, the biker was distracted and swerved in front of the car which stopped immediately.

“He was knocked over and hit his head but he got up right away and walked with a slight limp,” said Maryann Bast of Freeland. The bike was undamaged; the car’s front license plate holder was torn.

Neither the driver nor biker were cited by police.
