The following items were selected from reports made to the Island County Sheriff’s Office:

Wednesday, Dec. 27

At 1:18 p.m., a break-in was reported at Senior Services of Island County’s thrift store. A donation box was missing.

At 4:14 p.m., a caller reported that strangers were living in a vacation home on Lakeside Drive.

At 6:20 p.m., a caller reported that a man at a bus stop on Heller Road was yelling at passing cars.

Thursday, Dec. 28

At 12:39 a.m., a staff member at the hospital reported that a patient was out of control and four people were holding the patient down.

At 12:22 p.m., there was a report that a transient man set up a homeless camp behind the porta-potty on Lone Lake Road.

At 2 p.m., a caller reported walking in Saratoga Wood Preserve and finding mail in a tree.

Friday, Dec. 29

At 1:50 p.m., a caller reported finding human remains in a dig site on Gerdes Road.

At 2:50 p.m., a woman on Highway 525 reported that a man was cutting bushes down on her property. The man claimed the property was his and wouldn’t leave.

At 10:50 p.m., there was a report that a bouncer at a downtown Oak Harbor establishment was trying to kick a guy out, but the guy wanted to fight.

At 11:54 p.m., a caller reported that a man threw a woman against a car on Bayshore Drive.

At 1:25 p.m., there was a report someone vandalized the restrooms at the Coupeville Wharf.

At 1:53 p.m., a Madrona Way resident reported that a neighbor was stomping around in the attic.

Saturday, Dec. 30

At 3:17 p.m., a caller reported that a homeless man was hollering and waving his arms around on Langley Road.

At 9:21 p.m., a caller reported an injured owl on Marandy Place.

Sunday, Dec. 31

At 4:06 a.m., a Jones Road resident reported returning home to find it had been burglarized.

At 3:11 p.m., a burglary was reported on Central Avenue.

At 5:27 p.m., a Donahey Road resident reported that a strange woman with a scratch on her face walked into the house and was “freaking out” and talking about ghosts in the woods.

At 9:40 p.m., fireworks were reported in the area of Blakely Avenue.

Monday, Jan. 1

At 8:50 a.m., a Terrace Place resident reported finding a box with a liquid inside outside his house. The word “douche” was written on the box.

At 12:03 p.m., a driver reported that a large amount of trash and clothing were dumped out in a pull-out area on Dike Road.

At 1:23 p.m., a caller reported that a man was outside with his pants down on Regatta Drive.

At 3:46 p.m., a caller reported that a woman was “freaking out” in front of the hospital. She said she had been mauled by a pitbull.

At 7:04 a.m., a resident reported that her unoccupied car rolled down her driveway, went over the embankment and landed in someone’s yard.

Tuesday, Jan. 2

At 9:40 a.m., a Zylstra Road resident reported receiving a suspicious “specimen container” in the mail from China.

Wednesday, Jan. 3

At 8:53 a.m., a caller reported finding some possibly stolen items behind the Clinton Post Office.

At 10:57 a.m., a burglary was reported on North Bluff Road.

At 7:04 p.m., a West Troxell Road resident reported that a woman came to his door and asked to come in because someone was harassing her.
