Wilkie tosses no-hitter in SW win / Softball

Melody Wilkie sparkled in the circle and the batter’s box in South Whidbey’s 11-1 win at Sultan Wednesday, March 27.
Wilkie fired a no-hitter and helped her own cause by slugging a single, double and triple.
The lone run scored off Wilkie was unearned, but, overall, the Falcons played good defense, according to coach Brad Jaeger.
Makenna Morley sparked the defense with no errors in five chances and an unassisted double play.
Kayla Knauer helped out on offense with two hits, and Ari Marshall and Mary Moss each scored two runs.
The Falcons (1-1, 3-3) host La Conner (3-3) in a non-league game at 4 p.m. Friday, March 29.
