Rep. Paul sets youth advisory roundtable

State Rep. Dave Paul, D-Oak Harbor, will host a youth advisory roundtable on Wednesday, Feb. 16 at 5 p.m. This is the second roundtable held by Paul, and it is designed to gather feedback, discuss policy ideas and hear directly from young people who live in the 10th Legislative District.
“Our first forum was an engaging conversation that helped my office better understand policy areas of interest to the youth in our community,” Paul said. “This is an opportunity for young people in our community to participate in an informal, roundtable discussion with myself and legislative staff and share their ideas and feedback directly with their representative. Our first roundtable provided valuable feedback about ways to improve mental health services for young people. I’m excited to give updates on our work in this area—and hear more ideas for how our community can improve mental health outcomes.”
The State Legislature is midway through its 60-day session. The House will now consider policies passed by the Senate and finalize its budget priorities for the supplemental session.
Those interested in joining a conversation about youth mental health or future roundtables on other topics, please contact Paul’s office at mayzie.shaver@leg.wa.gov. People can also register in advance for the Youth Advisory Roundtable.
