The Artful Home Web site features several of Mizono’s designs at click here.

Her designs can also be purchased through the Giselle Shepatin collection at click here.

By utilizing form, color, balance and shape as points of departure, Mizono creates daywear and outerwear that is largely improvisational. The wearer may choose one of several different ways to wear a piece depending upon mood.

“I do not feel a sense of completion of a particular design until it is actually inhabited by a real body, for only then can the clothes come alive,” Mizono said.

“I do not design for any particular body type, because I believe that if you truly love the clothes you will wear them well.”
