Letter: Grateful for return of new rescue dog after his escape from car

Editor,

Many thanks to the kind person who caught our new rescue dog Elvis at the Goose parking lot and tied him to the table.

Elvis, a 30-pound short-legged dog with big feet, now also known as Houdini, managed to crawl out an 8-inch opening in the car window and jump from a reasonably tall SUV to look for me.

Imagine my surprise to see him sitting outside the store.

Thank you very much. We look forward to learning about his other circus tricks.
