Letter: Grateful to all those who responded to motorcycle accident

Editor,

On Saturday, May 9 I was involved in a motorcycle accident at Sharpe’s Corner and State Highway 20. I would like to thank the good people who assisted me.

First, to the young Navy officer who said I have pictures of your bike, I failed to get your number.

Second, to the group of men who took great care to move my bike out of the traffic circle and out of harms way, along with my gloves, windshield, helmet — all my property was accounted for — thanks to all of you.

The Doctor/RN, I don’t recall your name, who took my vital signs and made notes for EMTs, helping to keep me from going into shock, you are a true professional.

To Anacortes first responders and Island hospital, thank you so much, as well as to the Anacortes Police Department, which secured my property when I was taken to the hospital and brought me a copy of the accident report.

I still have a long road before I walk again. I hope our paths cross again. Thank you and God Bless.
