We are fortunate to live on The Rock for so many reasons, one of which is having several excellent chefs who have chosen to make Whidbey Island their home.
On New Year’s Eve, we enjoyed an exquisite five-course dinner at Rustica on Pioneer Way. The whole experience was a pleasure thanks to every staff member who made it so: Nick, our server; Mercedes, our host, who welcomed us and kept things moving smoothly throughout a very busy evening; and last but not least Chef Thomas Litrenta and his kitchen staff, who created cuisine that was delicious (much of it grown or caught locally), unique and beautifully presented.
Next time you feel like going out for a nice meal, don’t forget we have some terrific culinary talent right here on the island.
