In my 32-plus years in law enforcement in Island County, I have felt some of the greatest appreciation over the last several months.

No matter which part of our community that I have been in, people have walked up to me and thanked me for what I do. They have purchased meals for me and dropped off snacks, gift cards and “thank you” cards at our offices.

I am humbled by these gestures every time.

I believe that all of us in law enforcement and emergency services want our community to be a safe place for all.

Thank you for supporting us and allowing us to serve.
