Letter: Please support Coupeville school resource fair

Editor,

The Coupeville School Student Support Office, in collaboration with the Community Foundation for Coupeville Schools, is asking for community assistance in regard to our fundraising for our third annual Spring Resource Fair to be held Wednesday, April 19th, with kickoff date is March 6. The resource fair raises funds for summer sports equipment, educational activity, books, early learning kits, footwear, starter books and bilingual learning aids.

The Community Resource Fair is open to all community members of any age or need, with a specific focus on the students and families of Coupeville that are “the hardest to reach,” namely multilingual learners, housing challenged individuals and other need populations. Approximately 210 students are assisted by the Coupeville School Support Office.

The Foundation is asking for community donations through its flipcause page, or funds and monetary donations can be sent/delivered to the Coupeville School Student Support office, Attention: Arianna Bumgarner at 501 S. Main St. Coupeville WA 98239. Email questions can be directed to abumgarner@coupeville.k12.wa.us and the phone contact is 360-678-2404.

The Coupeville Foundation is a 501 (3)(c) corporation, so donations given through its Facebook funding page or mailed directly to their address at PO Box 1133, Coupeville WA 98239, EIN # 91-1826477 are tax deductible. Website: http://www.4coupevilleschools.org/.

Please assist our school children by contributing funds to our spring resource event. I can think of no community need more pressing, but yet capable of creating more upward mobility, than donating funds for our Coupeville McKinney-Vento, Migrant and Foster kids.
