LETTER TO THE EDITOR | People page headline wasn’t quite right

Editor, I wish to clarify an article headline in the Feb. 4 issue of The Record, which stated “Chiropractic Zone Healing Center Donates $900 to Langley Non-Profit.” This is not an accurate statement, as the $900 was raised by the community attendees of the event at which Christina Baldwin was a presenter as well as the matching donation made by Jude Rathburn.

Editor,

I wish to clarify an article headline in the Feb. 4 issue of The Record, which stated “Chiropractic Zone Healing Center Donates $900 to Langley Non-Profit.”

This is not an accurate statement, as the $900 was raised by the community attendees of the event at which Christina Baldwin was a presenter as well as the matching donation made by Jude Rathburn. I simply acted as the conduit of the donations to the Healing Circles Langley, as I have had the privilege to do over the past decade. The headline, I believe, makes it look as if it was a personal contribution from me, when it is our South Whidbey community members who opened their hears and wallets to this worthwhile new organization.

Thank you for allowing me to clarify.
