This is in response to Lisa Root’s letter to the editor about George Floyd.

According to the Cup Foods store owner, Abumayyaleh made the point that Floyd, “may not have even known that the bill was counterfeit.”

So, we have another black man killed by a white cop by choking him for almost 9 minutes, for what? A $20 bill that he might not have known was bad? The real question is would any other white person have been killed over that same issue?

And, if you have followed the news in this country the last 200 years or so, we all know the answer to that. But the real answer is to stop giving cops reasons to kill. Take away their military might. Get rid of the bad ones. Train the goods ones. And reform the departments.

Look at people of all colors with love and acceptance. We have the same DNA after all.
