The Saratoga Chamber Orchestra has announced the results of the third annual Young Artists Solo Competition auditions.

Wyatt Homola, flute and Kalob Tatum, violin are both of Oak Harbor. Marena Salerno Collins, viola, is from Langley and Rachel Means, violin, lives in Greenbank.

All of these young artists were chosen to perform as soloists with the Saratoga Chamber Orchestra at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 21 at Whidbey Island Center for the Arts in Langley.

“There was an extremely high level of preparation and performance with this year’s contestants,” said producer Kat Fritz.

“We were particularly pleased with the number of students that not only represented all geographical areas of the island, but the diverse mix of musical instruments as well,” she said. “We would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to the teachers, accompanists and parents who provide the support needed to accomplish such a high level of professionalism.”
