Plumbing help when you need it: New Whidbey team prioritizes prompt service

Customer satisfaction is a core value behind their service

Whidbey Island’s Jason McFadyen, Eric & Aleshia Mitten, know all too well the importance of being able to access timely plumbing support when you need it.

“A lot of plumbers are booked out for weeks. There would be times where we’d be basically standing in water and the response would be, ‘We’ll be available in three weeks.’ We need help now! It just started to frustrate all the property managers that work for us-and I can only guess the entire population of Whidbey. That’s when I knew we needed to provide another option – not only for us, but for the community,” says McFadyen says.

The solution? Locally owned and operated Rocky Point Plumbing and Maintenance, launched in 2022 to serve the Whidbey community at a time when it’s needed most.

According to industry research conducted by IBIS World, the plumbing industry employs approximately 564,000 professionals spread across 113,000 companies across the country.

Through the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand for plumbers in the United States remained steady and even spiked to an all-time high as many Americans worked from home during the lockdown.

McFadyen’s growing team of plumbers currently serve clients on Whidbey and Fidalgo Islands and break down the barrier of long wait times due to long-term bookings.

As it stands, the team currently offers the installation and support of hot water heaters, general maintenance & plumbing, and bathroom remodels.

Now in their second year of operation, the RPP team encourages the importance of competition from a business standpoint. Having an around-the-clock service option on Whidbey Island is a welcome addition to an industry that’s often strained by staff shortages and an endless stream of requests.

“Our plumbers, Mark and Aaron, have been serving their clients for over 25 years. They are sought after for their knowledge and experience. Now that they’re working for Rocky Point Plumbing, they’ll be able to support their loyal clients more frequently with fewer delays,” says McFadyen.

Residents in need of plumbing assistance on Whidbey Island are encouraged to contact Rocky Point Plumbing by email at info@rppmaintenance.com, by phone 360-675-5944, or on their site rppmaintenance.com.
