“The Freeland Library has begun a new program called Adopt -A-Shelf, in which volunteers will come into the library regularly at their convenience to keep an area of shelves in the library in good order.The program is similar to the one in which groups keep certain stretches of highway clean. Volunteers will have sole responsibility for a small area which they have chosen. Areas can be chosen by subject such as cooking or gardening; or a section of the alphabet. Any size section may be adopted. A group orientation will kick off the program and include pizza for the new volunteers. Call the library at 331-7323 to select a shelf. “
