“‘Go for Baroque’Mezzo-soprano Ute Freund, harpsichordist Sharon Ringer and flutist Kimberley Breilein present an evening of chamber music tonight, Nov. 4, 7:30 p.m. at the Whidbey Island Center for the Arts in Langley. Known as Trio Encore, the musicians recently performed as guests of George Shangrow on Classic KING-FM’s Live by George. Costumed in the opulent, elegant clothing and powdered wigs of the period, they will be joined tonight by South Whidbey violinist Michael Nutt and cellist Buell Neidlinger, playing works by J.S. Bach, Vivaldi, and P.D.Q. Bach, among other composers of the Baroque era. The concert will be performed against the set recently created for the popular production of An Evening with Poe.
