Island Christian Academy students research artists, receive awards for projects

Students at Island Christian Academy explored artists throughout the year and were honored for their work in March during the school’s art fair. Students in the third through tenth grade learned about different artists and their famous works.

Students at Island Christian Academy explored artists throughout the year and were honored for their work in March during the school’s art fair. Students in the third through tenth grade learned about different artists and their famous works.

Each student wrote a research paper, built a presentation and re-created a work from their chosen artist in a variety of mediums. The students were judged and graded on the entire project. The winners of each grade and overall winners are as follows:

Elementary overall winners

1st: Molly Mills – Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn
