The Island County Auditor’s Office will mail roughly 45,000 ballots for the November election beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 12.

Home delivery of ballots should begin the following day, county officials said Thursday.

It’s the latest batch of ballots sent out. County officials said military and overseas ballots were mailed on Sept. 23.

The “Early Voting period” runs for 20 days, starting on Oct. 13. Ballots will be available to voters in the county’s elections office starting Oct. 13.

The office is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and is at 400 N Main St., Coupeville.

There will be four ballot drop-off locations on Election Day: at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeland, the Oak Harbor School District office in Oak Harbor, the main elections office in Coupeville and the Camano Annex. Locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
