The Island County Sheriff’s Office is looking for help in identifying a body that was found washed ashore near Greenbank yesterday.

The sheriff’s office said a man walking the beach near North Bluff Road found a body washed up on the shore near the high tide mark on Dec. 14.

The body was described as a white male approximately 5-foot-10 and 145 pounds, wearing Cherokee-brand, light-colored long underwear bottoms (size small) and white Nike Air-brand size 9 shoes.

The Island County Coroner estimates that the body, found on the east side of the island, may have been in the water for several months.
