New Leaf Inc. CEO and Executive Director Michele McKenna is retiring, according to a press release from the Oak Harbor-based nonprofit that employs adults with disabilities.
McKenna has worked at New Leaf for 29 years and has been the CEO for the past seven years.
During McKenna’s time as CEO, New Leaf has grown exponentially in the value of its federal contracts and the scope of its operations. McKenna has been key to all of the administrative and executive work behind this growth.
As a beloved part of New Leaf, she has been at the center of its success over the past three decades and will be greatly missed.
There will be a drop-in retirement party for McKenna 3-6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 24 at the New Leaf adjunct building at 1091 Dock St. in Oak Harbor. New Leaf welcomes everyone at New Leaf and from the broader community to come join us in saying goodbye.
