Brett Richter of Langley has been elected to the board of directors of the American Rental Association (ARA), an international trade association serving the equipment rental industry. Richter is a co-owner of Double R Rental and Sales.
ARA’s mission is to promote the success of members and advance the growth of the equipment rental industry. ARA’s
volunteer board of directors includes rental business owners and associate members who work with ARA staff to oversee the association and its programs. The board consists of four officers and 15 directors who serve either a two-year or a three-year term.
Through elections held each year, one-third of the members rotate off the board, which provides continuity to the board while incorporating new thinking and innovative approaches.
Richter said, “I am passionate about the rental industry, my rental store and small business. As Region Eight Director, I will continue to encourage members to meet with local, state and national leaders to impress upon them the importance of small business in the economy, as well as issues facing our industry.”
As Region Eight Director, Richter represents ARA members from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington.
Richter is also active in his state association and attends ARA’s National Legislative Caucus and supports ARA’s Political Action Committee to help voice the concerns of equipment rental businesses in Washington, D.C.
