Residents can submit their prize vegetables, fruits, honey, compost, herbs, grains and grasses for premium money at the Whidbey Island Fair from 1 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25.

Volunteers with Deer Lagoon Grange, South Whidbey Tilth and Whidbees will be waiting to process entries in the big tent across from the 4-H building on the Fairgrounds at 819 Camano Avenue in Langley. The fair runs Thursday to Sunday, July 27-30, beginning at 9:30 a.m. each day.

To participate, get a copy of the “premium guide” at a library, local store or download it online, whidbeyislandfair.com. From the website, register Whidbey Island Fair Exhibitor Entry. Don’t checkout until you are sure you have everything listed. Just click on “save for later” until you are ready to check out. Print out the entire list when finished, then go harvest your entries on Tuesday, July 25 so they are fresh.

Premium money awards for entries may be available as soon as Saturday and Sunday afternoon. However, entries may not be removed until Monday, July 31 between 10 and noon or between 5 and 7 p.m.
