Barbara Evans Bryant: January 6, 1936 – April 30, 2022

Third of Six daughters of Henry and Ida Evans.

She met and married Charles Edward “Ed” Bryant in 1953 while Ed was stationed at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. They had 5 children, Patrick 1956, Janet 1957, April 1959, Melody 1963, James (Jimbo) 1966. Ed retired from the Navy and they settled down on South Whidbey where he and Barbara ran a family farm in Freeland.

She was a bartender and waitress at the Freeland Cafe as well as a member of American Legion and the Eagles. Preceded in death by son Pat 1976, daughter April 1984, son Jimbo 1996, Husband Charles Bryant 2005, Sisters Lois Greninger 2007, Lydia Goll 2018, Anna Powers 2019, Cora Spaulding 2020, Wilma Engen 2021.

She is survived by many who loved her because she was family or became family because she said so. Loving Partner James (Bob) Tupling, Daughters Janet (Jim) Harris, Melody Bryant (Michael Livingston), Daughter-in-law April Bruner-Bryant. Grandchildren: Patrick (Ashley) Harris, Kristina Harris, Candie (Luke) McNeil, Frederick VanBenschoten IV, Janice (Mathew) Reinhardt. Great grandchildren: Kayci, Joshua, Grae, Madison, Cassidy, Charles, Rebecka, Christoher, Emma, Jackson, Khori, Ruby, Jamie, Henrick, Nova-rose, and so many more.
