Barbara Beakley Mathews, age 74 passed away February 3, 2013 in Everett, Washington.

She is survived by her husband Frank; son, David (Lori) Mathews; daughter, Donna (Brad) Estill, all of Whidbey Island, WA; daughter, Janis (Mark) Nichols, Everett; and three grandchildren also of Whidbey Island.

Barbara was married to the love of her life for 52 years. She traveled extensively to many foreign countries and she enjoyed working with children. Barbara volunteered at Helping Hand and Island County Sheriff’s Office. She was a member of PEO, Republican Women and The Society of Former FBI Women and she enjoyed luncheons with the Roosevelt Girls and the Red Hat Club.

A Celebration of her Life will be held at 11 am Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 18341 State Route 525, Freeland, WA 98247. Memorials to the charity of your choice. Acacia Funeral Home, Seattle, WA phone (206) 362-5525 is in charge of arrangements.
