Caitlin Mary Robinson: January 12, 1985 – January 2, 2022

Caitlin Mary Robinson passed away on January 2, 2022 in New York City at the early age of 36. She was very well known and loved by the many friends she made during her 12 school years at South Whidbey Schools. She is survived by her husband, Nitesh Shukla of New York City where Caitlin and Nikki lived since their marriage on June 12, 2021. She is also survived by her father, Bill Rowlands, and Her Sister, Kelsy Ann Brogan, Half Sisters, Wendi Rowlands and Noelle Nishida and Half Brother, Tim Rowlands in Her Immediate Family. Her Mother, Teresa Ann Robinson, passed away in 1989 when Caitlin was only 4 years old. She is also survived by a number of Aunts and Uncles and Close Friends.

Caitlin graduated from Arizona State University in Scottsdale, AZ with Honors as “summa cum laude” in her class of thousands. She continued to live and work in Scottsdale for several years after graduating. She also lived and worked in Montreal Canda, Bellevue, WA, Barcelona Spain, and New York City. Caitlin was very athletic and was a gymnast. She performed at half time sports events at Whidbey High School during her years there. She also performed at professional sports events in Montreal, India, and South Africa. She loved the beaches of Whidbey Island and the mountains near Scottsdale. She was an avid skier and dancer.

Caitlin was very spiritual and in her last years she attended beautiful St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City several times a week. Her words of wisdom might have been: “Live life to the fullest! Life is too short!” Funeral services for Caitlin will be on Feb. 18th at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Kirkland WA, and Internment at Holyrood Catholic Cemetery, in Shoreline WA.
