Debbie Griggs passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, in Bellingham.

She was born Dec. 29, 1949 in Pensacola, Fla. She graduated from Langley High School in 1968. She worked for Fairhaven Realty as a Realtor.

Debbie was a beautiful woman, and a wonderful person who loved her family dearly. Debbie had a great sense of humor and her laughter was contagious. She enjoyed hiking, especially with her grandson Ryan.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. and Betty Fordham.

She is survived by her four daughters, Delisa (Chris) Berhow-Griggs, Sara (Matt) Sherman-Griggs, Priscilla Griggs and Penny Griggs; grandchildren Ryan Griggs and Nathan Berhow; brother Jay Fordham; sisters Mary Fordham and Barb (Mike) McDaniel; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services were held in Coupeville. Memorials may be made to the Bellingham Food Bank, 1834 Ellis St., Bellingham, WA 98225.
