Diane Michael

Diane Michael went home to be with the Lord on March 11, 2010.

Diane was born in Arkansas on Dec. 3, 1945 to Elbert and Edna Martin. She grew up part of a large loving family, with five sisters and three brothers.

Diane moved to Washington when she was 2 years old. She attended Snohomish High School and graduated in 1964. Diane worked for the Boeing Company for 33 years.

In 1972, Diane met the love of her life, Willard Michael. They married shortly thereafter and made their home in Bellevue, where they raised their family. In 1994, they moved to the waterfront on Whidbey Island which had been their dream for many years.

Diane’s favorite times were spent boating and skiing with her family and friends. She traveled extensively, enjoying much of God’s creation with trips to Europe, Hawaii and around the United States.

Diane loved the Lord, and that love was evident in her life. While on Whidbey Island, she became a member of the Whidbey Evangelical Free Church and the SOWERS ministry (Servants on Wheels Ever Ready) and was called to several mission trips to serve others while gaining many close friendships.

Our hearts ache so much for the loss of Diane, but we are comforted by the assurance that she is now with the Lord and that one day we will be reunited with her in Heaven.

Diane is survived by her loving husband Willard Michael; five children, Mark Michael, Wendy Michael, Michelle Braun, David Michael, and Jodie Isomura; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and seven brothers and sisters, Shelby Martin, Shirley Martin, Jan Boyden, Benny Martin, Pete Martin, Penny Martin and Robin Borgen.
