Georgia McLeod

Former Whidbey Island resident, Georgia McLeod, passed away Oct. 17, 2005, in Lacey.
She was born Dec. 6, 1914, a daughter of Charles Cecil and Martina Laugenour in Hunters, Wash.
She married Fred McInnis in 1941; he preceded her in death in 1969. She married David McLeod in 1973; he preceded her in death in 1987.
Mrs. McLeod worked as a secretary and as an assistant trust officer for many years. She was a member of the D.A.R., South Whidbey Historical Society, Washington State Historical Society and Pioneer Association of Washington. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was an avid reader, loved to write and held a writers group in her home.
Mrs. McLeod was involved with Everett Civic Music and enjoyed the concerts. She was very active in the community. She loved her family and all who knew her loved her.
She spent the last five years in Olympia near her daughter, Marilyn.
She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn (Bill) Kautz of Olympia, and Kathleen Nabors of Kingman, Ariz.; one sister, Phyllis Marton of Santa Fe, N.M.; and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Friday, Oct. 21, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Langley. Interment was at Evergreen Washelli Cemetery in Seattle.
Arrangements were under the direction of Visser Funeral Home, Langley.
