Jeffrey (Jeff) Benham Clark: February 9, 1955 – June 23, 2023

Jeffrey (Jeff) Benham Clark, died peacefully on June 23rd, 2023 with music playing and his wife Susi by his side. Jeff was born on February 9, 1955, the fourth of four boys to Bill & Shirley (Sprague) Clark. He attended Bellevue High School, Seattle Pacific and Western Washington University, graduating with a BA in Music. Professionally, he was a singing waiter, choir director, tenor with Trovatori (vocal quartet), teacher, computer programmer and entrepreneur. Jeff fostered kindness & joy wherever he went even after his two brain injuries in 2009. Neither Covid nor his diagnoses of Parkinsonism & Dementia changed his core essence or self description: connoisseur of smiles.

After moving to Mexico in November 2022, Jeff continued to savor life, meet new people and smile. Helping others, family, gratitude and being “in the moment” were central to his identity. Jeff is survived by his loving wife Susi Gardner, his son Mac, his daughters Ana and Kai, his brothers Neal and Tim, as well as countless other family members and close friends who held him dear.

A Celebration of Life to honor Jeff will take place on August 12, 2023 at 2 pm at the United Methodist Church in Langley, WA. Everyone is welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, feel free to donate to the Good Cheer Thrift Store at https://goodcheer.org/donate where Jeff volunteered, the Langley UMC choir at https://langleyumc.org/where Jeff sang tenor, or at https://grateful.org/
