Jerry Kenneth Blankenburg

Jerry Kenneth Blankenburg was born to Theodore and Myrtle (Smith) Blankenburg in Everett on May 22, 1947.

He entered into rest with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ unexpectedly on Aug. 14, 2007 in Mount Vernon at the age of 60.

Jerry graduated from Langley High School in 1967 and then joined the Army, serving his country in Vietnam from 1967 to 1969.

For the last nine years, up until the time of his death, Jerry worked as a greenchain operator for Washington Alder. He was greatly admired by his friends and family because he was a moral, hard-working man.

Jerry is survived by sisters Helen Hildebrand of Tacoma and Betty and her husband Walt Nordquist of Marysville, and numerous nieces and nephews including Judy Davis of Tacoma and David Hildebrand of Mount Vernon.

A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25 at the La Tierra Estates Clubhouse, located at 4401 80th St. NE. Marysville.

Private inurnment will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of Affordable Burial & Cremation Services, LLC of Mount Vernon. Cards of condolence may be sent to the family in care of the funeral home.
