Keith Iverson: March, 9, 1953 – December, 30, 2025

Keith passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025, leaving behind a life full of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.

He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Kim, with whom he shared 40 wonderful years of marriage. Keith was a loving and proud father to Hether (Jason) and Courtney (Mitch), bonus son (Keegan) and a cherished grandfather to Kainen and Alexis (Ross) who were the light of his life. He was also known affectionately as “Roy” and “Homer” to many others-titles that reflected the wide circle of people who felt like family because of him.

Keith grew up in Bellevue, Washington, where his childhood was shaped by summers spent at his parents’ home on Whidbey Island. His parents later purchased the Sunrise Beach Resort, a place that became part of the fabric of his life. After graduating college, Keith moved permanently to Whidbey Island, where he found what he always knew would be his forever home.

An avid softball player, Keith met his first wife, Dyane, through the game he loved, and he had his beautiful children with her. Whidbey Island remained the heart of his world. There, Keith built a home on Dead Goat Road and poured his energy and determination into his work, owning and operating Island Sand and Gravel and Flat Works Plus. He was a tireless worker who took great pride in providing for his family, and he believed just as strongly in enjoying life outside of work.

Keith loved Football! The WA Huskies and the Seahawks were his teams. He loved boating more than almost anything. Every year, he took his family on boating trips where they would crab, shrimp, and fish together and annual trips to Seafair on the log boom. Those days on the water-surrounded by family, laughter, and the rhythm of the sea-were his favorite times and are some of the most treasured memories his family holds.

Keith was known by everyone who met him as one of the funniest and kindest people they had ever known. His humor was effortless, his generosity genuine, and his presence unforgettable. He had a remarkable ability to make people feel welcome and valued, and his warmth will be remembered always.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Marion, and his brothers, Paul and Mike. He is survived by his brother, Dean.

He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed. His family will spend the rest of their lives celebrating his life, honoring his legacy, and carrying his laughter and love forward.
