She was born in Texas, on May 27, 1924 to William and Irene (Crenshaw) Raines. She grew up, graduated from high school, then attended vocational college in Seminole, Okla. She continued her work in civil service while they traveled from San Diego, Calif., Jacksonville, Fla., San Jose, Calif., Guam and finally Whidbey Island in 1964.
Louese worked at Whidbey Naval Hospital until 1983, finishing her career in Jacksonville, Fla. where she retired in 1985. She then returned to Oak Harbor to enjoy her retirement and be close to her family.

Most of all though, she loved her family and continued to have daily contact with them, even as her health began to fail. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
