Michael W. Little went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 6, 2005 after a courageous two year battle with a brain tumor.
“God saw you getting tired, and the cure was not to be, so He wrapped you in His loving arms and whispered, “Come to Me.” You suffered much in silence, your spirit did not bend, you faced your pain with courage
until the very end. God took you in His loving arms, and saved you from the pain.”
Michael was born April 18, 1964, in South Bend, Wash. to Wray and Sara Little. Michael attended Olympia High School and Eastern Washington University. He spent the past 22 years in the financial industry, the last four with Seattle Northwest Securities as developer, Web integration manager. He will be remembered for his love of his family, his amazing talent in the kitchen, his love of golfing, a great sense of humor and the ability to come up with vocabulary to astound his listeners.
Michael is survived by his beloved and cherished life partner and best friend, Brenda; his parents, Wray and Sara Little of Freeland; a sister, Gwendolyn Little of Freeland; father and mother-in-law, Carl and Christina Hansen of Ferndale; brother and sister-in-law, Bradley and Monica Hansen and his very special niece, Taylor Hansenof Sumner; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Michael is the grandson of the late W. Ivan and Mary Little and Sam and Ann McVeigh, all of South Whidbey.
The world is a better place for his having been here and has been lessened by his departure. God bless him and keep him safe in your loving arms for eternity.
A memorial service to celebrate his life is scheduled for 2 p.m Saturday, Nov. 12 at Newport Covenant Church, 12800 SE Coal Creek Parkway, Bellevue.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mike’s name can be made to the American Brain Tumor Association or the American Diabetes Association.
The family offers their deepest thanks to the doctors and nurses of Virginia Mason Hospital for the warm blanket of compassion and care they wrapped around all of us.
