Richard James Holder, 91, of Langley passed away on Nov. 13, 2010.

He was born to James and Pearl (Meyer) Holder on Dec. 28, 1918 in Taylor, Wash. He attended schools in Issaquah.

In 1944 he joined the Navy and served in World War II. After the war, he returned to Issaquah, where he raised his family.

He is survived by his wife, June (Hoye) Holder; his two daughters Judy (John) Bernritter and Susan Holder; four grandchildren, Richard Guin, Jennifer Poe, Jason Bernritter and Marsha Johnson; and two great-grandchildren, Brian and Aubrienna.
