Coach Karyle Kramer said it was Beech’s first time playing singles this year and her match was the highlight of the day. Even though she lost 4-6, 6-7, Beech showed mental and physical toughness. Kramer said she worked on implementing strategies and tactics and made progress even during the match. “I’m proud of her for persevering and not giving up,” Kramer said.
