My issue with the proposed “sanctuary city” for Langley is that I feel it is not necessarily in the best interest of any undocumented immigrants who may live here to ask them to step forward and identify themselves. Are you who are pushing for this prepared to protect and pay the legal fees for these people if they get into legal trouble by identifying themselves?

And it is putting Langley in the position of not being eligible for any federal money should the new administration choose to cut off funding to punish sanctuary cities. We may not even have any undocumented people living here. Is this just another liberal feel-good pat on the back? Best to give it some more thought in my opinion.
