Letter: Please vote to restore our governmental function

Editor,

According to the filmmaker Michael Moore, our largest “political party” is not Democrats or Republicans but non-voters — over 100 million strong.

To me, this is very disturbing and sad. We are not getting the government (i.e. Trump) we want because people stay home and don’t vote. If we do vote and put people in government we really believe in, we could turn around the many problems we complain about.

We must “get off the couch,” take pride in our country, value our rights and vote. Our democracy depends on it.

There is no excuse in the country as we have mail-in ballots. I sincerely hope we will all take this as serious as it is and vote.

Nancy Mayer
